Pleta de les Ordigues

The Taús hut takes off decisively from the flat land towards Boumort, arriving near the summit and at the height of the Creueta, it turns into a narrow and stony path to Prat Montaner. It is on this path, always close to the summit walls, that we find the Pleta de les Ortigues, a natural trough that takes advantage of a small plateau at 1870mt and allows the transhumance sheep to be fed.
Despite not being a characteristic plant of the Pyrenees, it is normal to find nettles in areas where sheep are concentrated. Their faeces usually carry nettle seed which is deposited on the ground and ends up germinating. This is where the name of the nettles comes from.
We were inspired by the green of nettles to decorate the Pleta de les Ortigues loft
